MATERIALS RESEARCH FURNACES, LLC, was founded in 1990 by a group of people from the vacuum furnace industry and consists of highly trained and experienced engineers and technical people. MRF, LLC was established to answer the challenge of the Research & Development community to produce the finest, high temperature, high vacuum and controlled atmosphere furnaces in the industry.
MRF, LLC has supplied new furnace systems and replacement parts to numerous universities, national laboratories and to private industries, both nationally and abroad.
MRF, LLC has over 14,200 square feet of space for manufacturing, assembly, engineering, sales, and support. Thus, technical questions, on site experience, furnace testing and furnace replacement parts are just a phone call away.

Charles Miller, Jr.
MRF is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Miller, Jr. as the new President, replacing Peter Sanborn, who will be stepping into a role as an advisor and consultant for our new incoming projects.
Timothy Jones
Tim has 25 years of experience in working with advanced ceramic and refractory metal companies. He is responsible for coordinating MRF’s technical and service resources to fully support key customers.
Rebecca McInerney
Rebecca has a degree in Chemical Engineering and a focus on Materials Science from Clarkson University, Becky thoroughly understands the principles of heat transfer, reaction mechanisms, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and transport properties of gases and liquids to name a few.
Danny Wouters
Danny is an Industrial Engineer with over 25 years for furnace experience, and manages the controls engineering team. The team designs, programs and tests our controls systems. Danny created our MRF website, is the IT director, and does occasional field service work among other various functions.
Jesse Lazar
Jesse is a mechanical engineer and he joined MRF in 2017. He has a degree in mechanical engineering from Boston University and more than two decades of design experience.
