Job Description:
High temperature furnace manufacturer in Allenstown NH seeks a person with mechanical skills to assemble high temperature vacuum and controlled atmosphere furnaces. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented team player who strives for top quality workmanship, who will be comfortable reading blueprints, and capable of assembling gas and water systems. Experience in this field is a plus, but we are willing to train the right individual. Must be a self-starter.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assembly of products according to specifications.
- Assembly of components for gas, water, vacuum, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Assembly of mechanical components.
- Rework and make parts as needed.
- Performs tasks to support the assembly floor and the entire facility.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
- Deliver and pick-up parts/products from vendors.
- Able to read blueprints and drawings and follow verbal instructions.
- Able to properly use measurement tools, gauges, etc.
Knowledge/Education/Certification Requirements:
- High school diploma
- 1-2 years hands-on experience in manufacturing environment
- Some mechanical knowledge/understanding

Physical Requirements:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and will occasionally be required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb and balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl. The ability to communicate with co-workers and supervisors is vital to performing daily duties. The employee is required to use hands to assemble parts, pieces and/or products using a variety of tools and/or equipment according to required specifications, processes, and procedures in an area of production in a manufacturing environment. Attention to detail to ensure that all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product is essential.
- The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to environmental vibrations. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment can be very loud.
